2023 Congress of the Portuguese Ethological Society

The BIOPOLIS - CIBIO Association (Center for Research in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources, InBIO, Associated Laboratory of the University of Porto), in partnership with the Portuguese Society of Ethology (https://etologia.pt/), will host the twentieth edition of the National Congress of Ethology in Vila do Conde from December 7 to 9 of this year (more info at https://etologia.pt/congress2023/).

This event will bring together approximately 100 national and international scientists and students, focusing on scientific research in the field of animal behavior. The congress will feature the participation of internationally renowned researchers who will deliver the four scheduled plenary lectures. These lectures will be presented by Researchers and Professors Dr. Marie Charpentier (CNRS, Montpellier, France), Dr. Elise Huchard (CNRS, Montpellier, France), Dr. Rui Oliveira (Gulbenkian Institute of Science & ISPA, Portugal), and Dr. Miguel Carretero (Center for Research in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources CIBIO, Portugal).

In addition to researchers and plenary lectures, this edition will include workshops, oral presentations, poster sessions, scientific awards, and social events. Beyond its scientific component, the event will contribute to the establishment of strategic collaborations and the development of research projects with foreign institutions.
